In 1989 Thomas was as a passenger involved in a normal road car accident, resulting in a cracked vertebrae, and a hand which was broken in 5 places. It took him 3 years to get back into racing again.

In 2000 Thomas raced in Thailand, but was involved in a huge accident at Rayong Go-kart Racing track, stopping him from racing several races, that Season. Thomas therefore ended up in 12th place in the Thailand Championship.

Plans for   2008:
I plan to race all 7 races in the Supercar Thailand series in the Super 2000 Class
I plan to race some of the races in the Honda Racing Fest Series in the 2000 cc Class
I plan to race 3 rounds in the ATCS (Asian Touring Car Series)
I Plan to race a few races in the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship
I Hope to be able to race the CTM Cup in Macau in   November
I hope to be able to join the 12 hour Endurance race in Sepang if I can find a team
I hope to be able to test a Division 1 BMW ATCS touring car during the season 
Future   plans:
I hope to be able to test drive a Porsche GT3 
I Hope to be able to drive a Formel V6 around Sepang for a test day
I Hope to be able to join a 24 hour Dubai, and a 24   hour Nurnberg Ring event.
